Home is where the heart is.
Home is where I work.
What I make is handmade from the heart of my home.
Hey there I am Mallory!
Like most of you, having a baby girl changed everything. For me it opened new opportunities like sewing for my new baby girl and now years later teaching her to sew. Its a passion I hope to share with my girls for a lifetime.
My husband Adam and I currently have 3 children. Jacob 12, Chloe 6, Riley 2 and a 4th baby due in April. We decided not to find out the gender this time and not knowing is hard. Especially when all I want to do is sew little dresses.
My family currently lives on a small farm in Wisconsin. Durning the warmer months you can usually find me vegetable gardening and preserving, as well as spending time with our animals. We currently have chickens, ducks, pheasants, quail, swine, and cattle. Plus a dog and a cat. Chickens as I always say are my second hobby. They all have names, their own personality and are fun to be around. We even named one Pickles. What can I say we love pickles and the funny thing is I hated them as a child.
I started my sewing business PinkPicklez 5 years ago when my oldest daughter was 1. It started out with making my own patterns because I had difficulty understanding paper patterns. Who knew there was such a thing as PDF patterns. You will still find I use a lot of my patterns still. Which helps make PinkPicklez more special.
Recently I started sewing with vintage sewing supplies.Thrift stores are my go to for supplies...vintage fabrics, linens, patterns, embroidery, etc... You will find most of these are made into OOAK or limited availability items that I sell in showcases on facebook. If you are interested in those please join my facebook group www.facebook.com/group/PinkPicklezBoutique
Thank you for letting me share a little bit about myself.
Where does the pickle come from?
Every year my family grows a garden. And every year we can jars and jars of homemade pickles. We LOVE pickles. And the weird thing is I used to hate them as a kid. So of course PinkPicklez was named after the color of my shirt plus the last thing I ate. I am so glad I wasn't wearing black or ate something like anchovies(My husband got my kids hooked on them) Would you buy a dress from BlackAnchovies? Hmmm?!? Maybe is I had a boys clothing line.
